C Package is a control system designed to make the production of highly functional and precision thin films more efficient in coating processes for rechargeable lithium ion batteries, solar cells and liquid crystal displays.

To increase the uniformity and reduce the thickness of coated films, Sumitomo Heavy Industries’ direct line control technology and drive motor, exclusively designed for coaters, successfully eliminate disturbance factors such as the effects of gears and pulleys. The highly functional options help increase productivity.

Feature

In these days, coating machines are expected to handle high-functioned and sophisticated thin films. To achieve uniformity and thinness of the coating film, disturbance factors, such as gears and pulleys, must be eliminated as much as possible. We developed a Direct Sectional drive System especially for coating machines to meet these needs.

1. Line control technology

The true subjects of the control are films and other materials with various characteristics, not the motor shaft. Our long accumulated line control technology enabled highly advanced material transfer.
